On behalf of the Reunion Committee, I would like to personally invite you to your 50th High School Reunion.

Plans are shaping up, and I hope you will be as impressed as I am with what is in store for you.  As Fred Sanford used to say "This is THE BIG ONE!"  We have combined two spectacular events into one weekend, as you will read below, and finished off with a third, informal get-together.  Our Reunion will start off at the exclusive Carlyle Club in Alexandria on Friday night June 26th and will be followed the next day with the "Shipwreck II" cruise.  Before you head home, you can brunch with classmates in a relaxed atmosphere.

You'll be talking about this reunion for weeks, months, and even years to come.

We need to get your commitment and payment as soon as possible to help pay the deposits.
Please make your check for $145 per person,
payable to "Class of 1965", and remit to my address below.  A confirmation email will be returned.

After January 31, 2015, if space is available, we will open up "The Reunion of All Reunions" to other GWHS classes and the price is subject to increase the closer we get to the Reunion date.

Just click here for a registration form, fill it out,
and
mail it with your check to:

Dress to the nines or come as you are.  After we've greeted our classmate at the cash bar, a sit-down, gourmet dinner will be served. Live music will be provided by a band that has been around since the mid 50's, performing up and down the East Coast. Maybe you saw them in high school, maybe in college, but they still put on a show not to be missed.
I'm talking about Doug Clark's Hot Nuts!

For those late nighters, the Club stays open until 2AM for some more reminiscing.

Brunch on Sunday is going to be great! You will be dining in a spectacular atrium that looks up to the full height of the hotel. You'll enjoy good food while chatting with your classmates and enjoying this unique setting - a great way to close out the reunion weekend.

The brunch is complimentary if you are staying at the hotel.  Otherwise, you will be charged the regular menu cost.  (Brunch is not included in the Reunion Package.)  Whether staying in the hotel or living nearby, you'll want to make sure to join us.

Hey Class of '65 -

Our 50th GW Reunion is going to be a Big Hoorah!  And it may be the last Big One we will be having.  So, we're going to make it Special, Very Special.

We are looking for personal donations from classmates to be given to our Class of '65 raffle ticket holders the night of our dinner-dance at The Carlyle Club.

At first you might feel you have nothing to offer, but you are wrong.  We are an extremely diverse group of graduates, and we have lots of talents and life experiences.  Let your imagination run wild!

Some suggestions might be:

  • Your signed pastel, acrylic, pen & ink, watercolor, or mixed media artwork;
  • Signed personal artistic photography;
  • Juried craft items;
  • Autographed musical CDs you have recorded;
  • Blacksmithing, carving, scrimshaw or woodworking items;
  • Autographed books you have written;
  • Interesting items from your world travels;
  • Tickets to a major sporting event;
  • Gift cards or coupons for a business you own;
  • A weekend or week's lodging at your vacation home or condo;
  • Some interesting memorabilia from the Class of '65.
  • We're really excited about classmates sharing.  If you are willing to donate, please e-mail me, message me on Facebook, or give me a call (540.465.2953).  I look forward to hearing from you.

  • What was your favorite memory of GWHS?
  • What was your funniest moment in the cafeteria or gym class?
  • Who was your favorite teacher? What was special about them?
  • Was there a sporting event that was really terrific?
  • Is there a special story that you recall about one of  your friends?

 These memories are a wonderful way to bring back the great   times we shared at George Washington HS.

 We are asking you to share a your favorite memories, to be collected and included as a special section in our Reunion Directory.  The more of us who participate, the more the Directory will be a keepsake that we can reread and enjoy long after the Reunion Weekend.

Click Here to email your memories to Gary Hunt, who is spearheading this effort.
(Please note that memories must include the author's name for inclusion in the Directory.)
